The SPHE Curriculum supports children in developing the knowledge, skills and values they need to lead healthy and confident lives. It promotes emotional well-being, positive relationships, personal safety and responsible decision making. Through SPHE, children explore topics such as self-identity, feelings and emotions, friendship, safety and growing and changing.
As part of SPHE, we also deliver the Stay Safe programme, which helps children recognise and respond to unsafe situations and the Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) programme which is taught in an age appropriate and sensitive manner. At our school, SPHE is central to fostering a caring and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
