The Arts Education Curriculum in Irish primary schools includes Visual Arts, Music and Drama, each of which plays a key role in supporting children's creativity, self-expression and personal development. Through Visual Arts, children explore and respond to the world around them using a variety of materials and techniques, from drawing and painting to construction and print. In Music, they experience listening and responding, performing through song and instrument play and creating their own compositions. Drama allows children to take on roles, explore feelings and express ideas through imaginative play and performances.
