We are currently introducing the new Primary Mathematics Curriculum, developed by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) for all primary schools in Ireland. This updated curriculum supports children's learning in maths from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. It focuses on developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts through playful, hands-on experiences, problem-solving and real-life contexts. The curriculum aims to build children's confidence, enjoyment and curiosity in maths from an early age. Our teachers are taking part in professional development to ensure high-quality teaching and learning as we implement this new approach in our classrooms.
