We are currently implementing the new Primary Language Curriculum, developed for all primary schools in Ireland. This curriculum applies to both English and Irish, and supports children's language learning from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. It places a strong emphasis on oral language, reading and writing, and encourages an integrated and playful approach to language development. Out teachers are engaging in ongoing professional development to ensure that the curriculum is delivered in a way that supports each child's language development in a positive and engaging environment.
